【摘要】:ThispartofBS7378specifiesrequirementsforapparatusforconnectiontopublictelecommunicationssystemsusingchannelassociatedsignallingsystems(CASS).Theserequirementsapplytoallsuchapparatus,irrespectiveofwhethertheapparatusprovidesadditionalinterfaces,telecommunicationsservicesorfunctions.NOTE1"Connectiontopublictelecommunicationssystems"meansbothdirectconnectiontoanetworkterminationpoint(NTP)andindirectconnectionwhereinterworkingoccursbymeansoftheapplicableNTPviaoneormoreitemsofinterveningapparatus.TherequirementsmadeinthispartofBS7378covercallset-upandclearing.Theydonotcoveranysupplementaryservicesrequirementsthatmightexist.Requirementsarespecifiedintermsofapparatusperformanceattheinterfaceattheapparatusterminations(see4.1).TherequirementsaregeneraldesignrequirementsintendedtopreventinterferencewiththePTOs'networksandwithotherusers,butcomplianceisnotintendedtoensurefullcompatibilitywithCASSandwillnotnecessarilyensurethattheapparatusissatisfactoryfortheuser'spurpose.NOTE2Inadditiontothedesignrequirementsspecifiedinthisstandard,therequirementsofotherproductstandardsmayapplydependingonthefunctionoftheapparatus.NOTE3Iftheapparatusistobeconnectedto,ortointerworkwith,anyservicerunbypublictelecommunicationsoperators,itwillhavetomeettheapprovalrequirementsapplicabletothatservice.Therequirementsforthesafetyofthepublictelecommunicationssystemsfromelectricalconditionsoriginatingintheconnectedapparatusarenotspecifiedinthisstandard.
