【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesguidanceonthemethodsthatmaybeadopetedtoearthanelectricalsystemforthepurposeoflimitingthepotential(withrespecttothegeneralmassoftheearth)ofcurrent-carryingconductorsformingpartofthesystem,andnon-current-carryingmetalworkassociatedwithequipment,apparatus,andappliancesconnectedtothesystem.BS7430appliesonlytoland-basedinstallations;itdoesnotapplytoships,aircraftoroffshoreinstallations,nordoesitdealwiththeearthingofmedicalequipment(seeBS5724)orthespecialproblemsencounteredwithsolidstateelectroniccomponentsandequipmentduetotheirsensitivitytostaticelectricity.Thisstandarddoesnotaddresselectromagneticcompatibilityrequirementsforearthing,nordoesitgiverecommendationsforfunctionalearthing.
