【摘要】:Theacceleratedcuringproceduresprovide,attheearliestpracticaltime,anindicationofthepotentialstrengthofaspecificconcretemixture.Theseproceduresalsoprovideinformationonthevariabilityoftheproductionprocessforuseinqualitycontrol.Theacceleratedearlystrengthobtainedfromanyoftheproceduresinthistestmethodcanbeusedtoevaluateconcretestrengthsinthesamewayconventional28-daystrengthshavebeenusedinthepast,withsuitablechangesintheexpectedstrengthvalues.Sincethepracticeofusingstrengthvaluesobtainedfromstandard-curedcylindersat28daysislongestablishedandwidespread,theresultsofacceleratedstrengthtestsareoftenusedtoestimatethelater-agestrengthunderstandardcuring.Suchestimatesshouldbelimitedtoconcretesusingthesamematerialsandmixtureproportionsasthoseusedforestablishingthecorrelation.AppendixX2providesaproceduretoestimatethe90%confidenceintervaloftheaveragelater-agestrengthbasedonacceleratedstrengthtestresults.Correlationbetweenacceleratedstrengthandstrengthachievedatsomelateragebyusingconventionalcuringmethodsdependsuponthematerialscomprisingtheconcrete,themixtureproportions,andthespecificacceleratedtestprocedure.Theusershallchoosewhichproceduretouseonthebasisofexperienceandlocalconditions.Theseprocedures,ingeneral,willbepracticalwhenafieldlaboratoryisavailabletohousethecuringcontainersandthetestingequipmenttomeasurecompressivestrengthwithinthespecifiedtimelimits.1.1Thistestmethodcoversfourproceduresformaking,curing,andtestingspecimensofconcretestoredunderconditionsintendedtoacceleratethedevelopmentofstrength.Thefourproceduresare:ProcedureA-WarmWaterMethod,ProcedureB-BoilingWaterMethod,ProcedureC-AutogenousCuringMethod,andProcedureD-HighTemperatureandPressureMethod.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeSection9andNote9and14forspecificwarningsandprecautions.
